This is our first day combining all three IA classes for the very FIRST TIME. I was kind of nervous, excited and with absolute no idea of how this was going to turn out.
As we arrived, the first discussion we had was about T R U ST.

In order to work well and be happy in your workplace there has to be a certain level of trust between the people you work with. Let's say someone who works at a company has a terrible relationship between his/her collegues, this would definitely be a problem within the company.
For the IA, we want to create this sense of trust between the people. However, this is hard, especially for people that you haven't necessarilly met before and are practically thrown in together, forced to work together in some cases.
But, as Simon Sinek says:

But, as Simon Sinek says:
"we trust people that believe what WE BELIEVE."
Beginning on August 4th, the IA will no longer be a 12-student program. Instead, it will consist of about 50 students in total that will continue with this journey; we will all be working together at some point and collaborating through projects. Because of this, it is ESSENTIAL that we learn how to trust each other so that working together becomes easier for all of us.
The first step that made us realize that we can trust each other is because there is something connecting us all 50 students; that's the IA. We all believe this is a better way of learning and we are eager and excited for this different type of learning.
I hadn't realized this before but really, trust is one of the most important things for groups, organizations, companies, and even schools. I realized that trust is not always counting on someone for a secret or favor, but it's feeling comfortable in your workplace and feeling, in some way, safe.
This training day has been a step closer to creating this trust between us and getting to know people that BELIEVE WHAT I BELIEVE.
This training day went absolutely amazing. Thanks Mr. Topf & Mr. Bonnici! I'm excited for next year. :)
