When I took my internship at Diners Club I realized that the company had different sections and everyone had an important part in the company in order to function the way it did--and they're pretty successful company. But something I never realized or was never skeptical about was the massive responsibility that each section of the company had to be accountable for.
Once I began working for Human Resources for our company BlendZ, it hit me. It never occured to me the many aspects of a business that you had to take into consideration. Even the less important details that seem worthless are IMPORTANT. Plus, it's not ONLY about the quality of your product, whether you buy the best quality fruits for smoothies or the most lasting straws, it's also the way you treat customers and most importantly the dynamic you have between your team. |
Communication also consists in knowing who to go to when you have a problem. We have the CEOs in our company but they shouldn't be the ones solving all of your problems, but rather helping you out to solve it. This weekend I had a hard time doing that and I realized I had to take more responsibility and a lot more independent when making decisions.
