Jiro taught me the beauty of finding your vocation and devoting your entire life to it. You have to find that job or calling that no matter what you need to sacrifice, you remain with great passion to do so. Jiro is an 85 year-old sushi chef, who has dedicated 75 years of his life to this job: a small sushi restaurant in Tokyo for only 10 people, serves ONLY sushi, and charges nothing but $300 for a meal. You have to be the BEST in order to charge that much, am I right? I think 3 Michelin stars can answer that question pretty straight-forward.
One of the most common things that happens to successful people once they reach the top, is thinking their DONE and stop striving for something better. You can have all the money you ever dreamed of, you can have reached the goal you had in mind when you just started your own business, but that doesn’t mean you're done--the bars should just keep getting higher. In order to keep that excitement like the first time you reached the top, you need to keep improving and not compromise with decent work.
When choosing a career path, the first thing many people probably Google is “the highest paying job”. And many times, this is the start of a miserable career. Why? Because there is no real purpose and love for your craft.
