What a better way to start the day but doing some yoga?
Especially in an office like Diners, most people are full of work, which means that their levels of stress are sky-high. It was a good experience to be part of this because even if my level of stress is not the same as the employees at Diners, it felt great to meditate for 10 minutes in the morning with them. The yoga class is optional, however, and it's interesting to see who goes and who doesn't. In my office, only three employees--including me--were part of the yoga class, which makes us 3/12 approximately; A really small amount for so many Diners employees. A long time ago we used to meditate in the Innovation Academy, remember? Even if for some people this was just a waste of time, some of us found it beneficial, like me. | Yesterday, I had a lot of homework and was really stressed because of the long weekend that is coming up and all the due dates and deadlines for school work and even 10 minutes of yoga was incredibly beneficial for me to continue working at my internship! After the office-yoga class, it was publicity time once again! The campaign for national and international flights was still on board and the final step was to make the catalogue to send to their clients. Yesterday I saw the steps that it took to publish every catalogue and there are SEVERAL steps that have to be done before sending them to their clients. So, today I helped them by checking spelling, and the math that had to be done for the prices --> from dollars to soles --> the division for the payment in 6 months (installments), etc. |
Analyzing a website!
How easy is it to find the information I am looking for? Diners has a micro-website which is exclusive for clients to see the establishments that they work with and where their clients can use the "cuotas sin intereses" (interest-free installments) that Diners is known for. Many clients often ask that question of WHERE they can get information about WHERE they can use their Diners Club credit card. | This was very important for their clients, so Diners created this website exclusively to find the stores where it can be used. This website is very small and much centered on one specific goal: to inform their clients about the stores to buy at. However, they had just released this website a few days ago when they gave me the task to analyze and play with the website and give them feedback about how easy it was for me to find the information I was looking for. |
During our marketing unit in the Innovation Academy we briefly analyzed our blogs and this definitely helped me achieve what I was trying to do at Diners. I browsed the website and asked questions to myself: What was I trying to find out?
So, I came up with a different bunch of questions and pretended I was trying to search for a specific type of store. Let's say clothing. So, once I had decided on this I browsed it on the website and that way I could find out if it was definitely easy to use.
This was very helpful and I tried looking for different stores or different sectors in the industry like technology, sports, food, etc.
Overall, I found out that the website is pretty clear and straight-forward. The only thing I realized is that there isn't a lot of information about how to use the credit card and the no-interest rule. There was a tab for FAQ but if any client wanted to ask for more information, it was hard to find the contact number or email to do so.
