These days have really been a huge block of stress and a lot of hard-working stuff to do. It's easy to get worried and stressed because of so much that has to be done, especially since you feel like time passes in front of your eyes without realizing and there A LOT TO DO.
This past week Carolina and I started receiving emails from economists and professors that were interested on being interviewed. This was GREAT NEWS but it was also a little bit last minute considering that the final draft of the documentary was a week from that day and we still had to edit a 10-minute documentary.

Thankfully, last week we had two days off because of parent-teacher conferences and this definitely benefited us because we would have more time to film outside school.
We decided to spend an entire day going around the streets of Lima and film places that would literally show the WEALTH GAP in Peru. We wanted to show the difference between the rich and the poor. It was interesting to do this and see how the wealth gap can literally be seen even in the places where you frequently go. For example, we were filming around our school and we realized that a small street represented the wealth gap where you can find the richest school in Lima and on the other side probably one of the poorest.
On Friday we had our last interview before starting the editing part of the project with my uncle, Hector Cusman, who is the quartermaster of the "Superintendencia de Banca y Seguros AFP" and also economics/finance professor at USIL and UPC. In other words, he was the IDEAL person to interview for this documentary because he knew a little bit of EVERYTHING.

We arrived at his office on Friday at 6:30pm sharp, as we had agreed. The interview went extremely well, even though it lasted more than we had planned. However, the information he gave us were really intersting and helpful because he had a lot of anecdotes to share, which will make our documentary more engaging and truthful for the audience. |
