Talking about universities is definitely a stressful topic for me. Two years ago I began brainstorming careers I wanted to study and since then I have changed majors about 10 times because I never found
MY PERFECT career choice. Again, stressful!

During my summer vacations this year, while doing my AMERICAN DREAM project, I had to research universities that fit my personality and choices. As much as I was surprised, I managed to find my Top 3 choices. What surprised me the most was that I opened myself to look for options abroad and actually found universities that I liked in the U.S. like Northeastern University, for example.
Before doing this research I was closed to the idea that I wanted to study in Lima. However, I have now realized that there are other options for me but there is still something that stops me from pursuing this interest.

Today our counselor, Mr. Bailey, came to talk to us about colleges. I was excited because for the first time I had a better idea of what he was talking about.
Even though I have a much more clear path in this journey to finding the best university for me, I realized something that I wasn't ready to accept for myself. The truth is, I feel scared to take this big step after graduating for school and I had never taken the time to realize it. The reason why I didn't want to study abroad was because I didn't want my life to change when I went to college.

Should I risk my education and stay in Lima in a university I dont really feel motivated to be in? Or should I be a risk-taker and apply for a university that I really feel good with even though it's miles away from home?
Now I know its time to make a decision. An important one and I have to take action.
IT'S HAPPENING and I need to stop running away from this reality.

When making my American Dream video I researched about universities in several research sites. However, there are MUCH more and great ones. My goal is to keep researching and even though my decisions change constantly, having more information never hurts.
