Our finance project is about to finalize with a deadline for thursday, October 3rd. A lot has to be done and we are half way through. Chosing mutual funds is complicated, especially if we are living in Peru. Some require you to live in the U.S., since our client is a U.S. citizen. We learned about different types of funds and what we can and cannot do from Peru. I'm going to be honest, I felt like we were in 0, meaning that I had no idea what to do next. Because finance is a completely new topic for me, noticing these things is very hard and we didn't have a strong base of what to look for mutual funds. I thought, how are we supposed to know what to search for if we don't know what we need? I was stressed. | Our meeting with Mr. Fitzpatrick was that morning. We had a Powerpoint ready for him to present our idea of what we will propose to our client. What we didn't know is that we had to send a written proposal 24 hours before the meeting and that without that he will not be able to help us in any way. That was even more frustrating to us because we needed some advice from him. After all of this had happened I realized that even though we had so many problems like these, we indeed learned a lot from going through those experiences. If we hadn't encountered these problems, we would probably never had learned about AIP or concepts like these. So, I accepted it. From winning and losing we learned something and even though a lot of time seems to be wasted when we have problems like these, at least it was worth it but it is really hard to accept that. |
