As the Human Resources team for BlendZ, our current task is to find the perfect NGO or service that would result of a percentage of the profit we gain from our smoothie business. This is an exceptional way to put value in our business; therefore, it is utterly important that we think this through very mindfully.
Originally, we had found three NGOs that concentrated on ENTREPRENEURSHIP, something we were very interested in offering our service. However, once we thought we were done with this task, we realized that it might not be the best idea for us.
So, what a better idea than to keep our theme of BLENDZ and blend different people in our community by serving the people who help us on a daily basis: our wonderful janitors. We gave it a thought and realized that we--students--don't really have a way to appreciate our workers, which surprises me since we are the ones they are working hard for the most part.
Another way to give value to BlendZ and keep this theme as well, was by collaborating with other students in our school for service ideas.

REFLECTION:
Writing on my blog definitely helps me reflect on the week, what I've been doing and how I'm contributing to the business. Even though I am not in the marketing department of BlendZ, I just realized that even choosing the right NGO or service project it is all part of creating the BRAND of our company. And this is essential.
We decided we want our business to be transparent with our clients and stakeholders, and by that we also want everyone interested to be as involved as they want to be in the journey of taking our business to success. In conclusion, the brand is the value our company has and we just have to believe in it and follow our mission at all times.
