Could I have ever realized the ridiculous amount of corruption in the government and the financial industry if it weren't for this documentary? I doubt it.
TRUE or FALSE?
Speaking of college professors, I realized that we trust companies or even people based on their reputation because it's what we know. However, many earn their reputation through money $$. So, in reality we are trusting something that is completely false. How much is the truth?
I'm sure you've that specific reaction after someone refers to a Harvard or Columbia professor and the sense of tranquility because of their reputation as big well-known schools. I was one of those people. However, I don't think I can react the same way ever again. Even though my eyes are now open to issues like this one there will always be that intrigue and indignation because we all know this shouldn't be happening. |
If a doctor receives profit from every prescription they do of a certain drug, should that bother us? OF COURSE. At least we do because we know there can be something shady behind it. But when this same question was asked to someone who was obviously hiding something in the film, this wasn't their priority. This says a lot.
How come innocent people were left with no jobs and no homes and the people responsible for this keep getting paid millions of dollars every year?
WHY? | There were not consequences for them the first time and the probabilities of them being in a second time, are very low. |
After watching the film, I heard Gisella say that "this financial crisis occured in 2008, we're 2014, and yet this is the first time we're hearing about this crisis," - how is that possible? And then I realized, just like us, I bet there are thousands of people outside this classroom that have no knowledge on this important topic that affected the whole world. This is not right. This is not okay.
