Last week I had my first piano lesson and I had no idea what to expect. I felt like I was ahead on knowledge because I had learned a few years ago the piano keys and I knew how to read music. To be honest, I was feeling pretty well prepared for the class. I was excited. As the lesson went by, I was even more disappointed. |
Even though this was a shock to me I realized that practice is not only to achieve "perfect" level but its also to remember what you learn every time. I was lacking this before stepping in my piano lesson.
I just had my second lesson a few hours ago, ready to apply what I had learned the previous lesson. But, again I didnt practice during the weekend what I had learned on the first class and I needed some time to review some of the things. This made me realize that in anything you do, practice is key. And of course, I had noticed this before but I felt it even more this time because it's something I feel really interested in achieving to the perfect level.
