Part of our read spoke about Value Proposition (VP) which meant that a company shouldn't focus ONLY on the product they sell. There are different aspects of a startup that should be considered in order to succeed: the clients, employees, the service, and many others. We are in the first stages of creating our company and receiving this direct feedback was definitely the best research because we got to see what went well and what needs improvement.
After discussing The Lean Startup this morning I came up with one lesson: "Using validated learning through feedback in business is essential; especially for companies, time is money and cannot be wasted by not focusing on their vision".As we are now starting our own BUSINESS we know how essential it is to get constant feedback from our target audience, and this is what we did today. Our smoothies were released to our audience for the first time today for a quick test and it was a total success. It wasn't success because all three smoothies proposed were deliciously spectacular, but because we got the best and most direct feedback ever. Going back to The Lean Startup, we came across something called VALIDATED LEARNING. Eric Ries mentions something interesting about this that sometimes we use learning from failure as an excuse from failure. When we fail, we say we still learned. But, have we really learned anything? It's challenging to reflect on how and what you learned. But, it got me thinking and I realized that you know you have learned something once you feel like you can apply it and actually are. So, from now on when I have to edit a video I will take those mistakes from our documentary unit and reverse them in order to skip those mistakes. And now, with the smoothies, we now know what we can improve from the feedback we got. But, we will see exactly how it turned out and if we have learned when the business is up & running.

Schools could learn a lot from "The Lean Startup" especially in terms of feedback. Think about how rarely teachers get feedback, and how seldom students seek feedback from their peers or teachers. That's one thing that's cool now about the culture in our class. I feel like we naturally seek feedback from each other and we're not afraid to speak up when it's necessary. Cool post! Thanks #studybuddy!
