Last week we had a long weekend which I used to think a lot about what I wanted to talk about in my TEDTalk. After researching about how to give a successful TEDTalk its important to talk about a personal experience or anecdote. I though a lot about that and I wanted to concentrate mine in an event that happened in my life that changed my life in a positive and negative way. This event, however, is not something I talk about a lot and probably not a lot of people know about this. So, this presentation could be a way of speaking out about it. How did I plan this? First, I had many ideas of themes that I had brainstormed previously and in order to know which final one I will use I brainstormed for each theme idea, the different anecdotes that backed up this idea. At the end, I chose the one I had the most interesting and relevant anecdotes and the one I felt most confident talking about, of course. During my discussion with my academic partner, I got more ideas of what type of anecdotes I should include and when speaking with him he made me realize that my theme, which is "losing perspective" applied to so many other things, including relationships and that was an interesting way to see it as well which I hadn't though about. | ICC WEEK!!!! This week is a busy week! A lot is going on with ICC (Inter-class competition), the competition, and the excitement. We all LOVE ICC and we all want to WIN. There's a lot going on and the Story Time group in the Innovation Academy will try to cover everything we can to capture the excitement of what ICC means to every single one in FDR. Planning: Over the past few weeks I think we can all say that planning is ESSENTIAL. If we fail to do this then we won't get anything done to the quality we want it to be. So... we divided our Story Time crew into days that we should film and each role: who will film, edit, plan, report, etc. During class time I came up with my lines for my report during the knowledge ball on Friday. I believe I used my time efficiently and even though I was a little bit nervous and distracted because of the ICC cheer I managed to get that done and also think about what the anchor could say for that video. |
