I have been going to a lot of meetings and taking notes about their different products, which are their credit cards. The employees at Diners, especially the ones in the sales department have training every once in a while, to review and have a heads-up of what the company is doing. This was really helpful for me as well because I learned the benefits of each credit card and the different types they have.
It has been two days already for training, and finally I was told that I had some actual job to do. One of Diners Club credit cards is called Diners Club Young Professional. This credit card was made especially for students from Universidad del Pacífico in order to give them more experience using credit cards when they grow up. | Diners target audience is business people around the age of 30 and mostly from a higher social class. But, they thought about something new to expand their audience and they created Diners Club Young Professional. If you think about it, these people will most likely have kids which will grow up to be entrepreneurs just like them and probably use credit cards as well. In a way, creating this new credit card would help future Diners Club clients who would fit to their original target audience, have a little bit of more practice using this product and learning more about them at an earlier age. |
I think this project suits me very well because it is targeted to a younger audience, which I can relate to better even though I am not studying in university yet. The idea of creating it for a younger audience was very smart because I do believe it is important for people to experience this earlier in life to understand it better when you are older. |
A surprising amount of people in Peru do not have credit cards with the only reason that they are scared to have one because of debt. Most people think the bank can trick them into something they don't want or simply for the reason that they don't know how to manage their money. DCYP is the perfect way to begin creating awareness about this and making people realize that credit cards are not as bad as they think and that it can actually benefit them in several ways. |
