These 2 months of school have passed by before my eyes, and this means it's time for GRADES. As numerical as they might seem, I see it as receiving authentic feedback from my peers in order to see what I should continue doing well in class and what I still need to improve on.
Numbers always used to play an important role in my school life. It always determined how 'smart' I got, sometimes became a competition with my friends, and even once determined whether I had earned myself a new phone or not. However, that never gave me a long-lasting satisfaction and didn't push me to keep improving only because I never got a list of specific things I still needed to work on.
Crowd-sourcing grades has been the most helpful way to understand and determine my strengths and weaknesses not only in academics but in the way I act and network with other people. I have found a tremendous amount of benefits through this, even when giving feedback to others; I have realized how essential it is to let other people know how other people view them, because at the end of the day you will always be criticized by other parties.
